We can notice the big resemblances between these two dolls. The mould of the body of the Australian seems identical to the model of Cathie 1967 (stiff legs, small arms). The material is very different that, used in Australia is rather flexible, hair are very supplied and eyes look like the eyes of "Nathie" without commas.

NETTA

Despite severe overseas competition, Netta is the last factory of dolls in Australia....
History of Netta :
On November 30th 1976, the Metti company closes. The production manager with his wife, Antonietta decided to buy  the machinery that produced the dolls and on 1 December 1976 reopened the business under the name of 'Netta'. The most popular doll is Bindi, Aboriginal doll (33 cm), designed by Metti.
The sizes of the dolls produced range from 13" (33 cm) to 26" (66 cm) and the only nonAustralian components used in the manufacture are the hair, eyes and shoes, which are imported from Italy.'
Netta produces too a range of P.V.C. nursery squeaker toys, P.V.C. nursery night lamps and a range of plush toys.
At the beginning of the production, the mark Netta  is not noted on dolls (On four Australian dolls above, only dolls with the lace dress is not marked, the others are noted: NETTA, australia on the back).
